Eco-Friendly Energy

For today’s blog I will be talking about people changing to eco-friendly energy sources. I wanted to specifically talk about how eco-friendly energy would benefit the environment. I have wanted to write about this topic because I think it’s very important. This issue is talked about a lot but really never put into action.

From the Solar Power Nerd website, it states “Currently, the renewable energy sector provides almost 10 million jobs to workers internationally.” This made me think about why more people don’t use eco-friendly energy if it provides jobs. Especially in the world of COVID-19, where people need jobs. Most people haven’t switched to eco-friendly energy because it’s easier to use what we’ve been using for so long instead of switching to something new. Eco-friendly energy would make the environment much better, it would also lessen the amount of emissions being released into the air from coal. Some eco-friendly energy sources are wind energy, solar energy and hydro energy.

In the Green Coast article I read that, “Going green has numerous benefits at homes, in the workplace and to the economy at large. Different people across the planet are trying to come up with ways of going green by eliminating the use of plastics to growing organic foods.” Since there are lots of benefits of being more green, lots more people have changed their lifestyles. Even if you can’t do anything about having eco-friendly energy, you can do other things such as, order from sustainable clothing brands and eco-friendly websites.

Simply signing a petition to change to eco-friendly energy sources, or reducing your use of plastic straws could make a difference for our environment. It might be a change in your lifestyle but it’s worth it to help save the earth. Since their are so many pros of going green and being eco-friendly, there isn’t a big reason not to.

    1. I agree, it may be a little more effort but it's worth it in the long run.

  2. Why is it so difficult for people to change from what they are currently using as an energy source? Is there an initial start up cost for people looking to switch?
